Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

DownloadVideo.to ("we") is built to work without knowing who you are. This policy explains what is collected while you use the site, why, and what never leaves your browser.

1. What we collect

There is no account to create, and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number. Like every website, the server records some technical details automatically:

  • IP address
  • Browser and operating system
  • Referring page
  • Date and time of the visit
  • Pages viewed on the site

2. How that information is used

Those details serve four purposes:

  • Keeping the service running and diagnosing failed downloads
  • Measuring traffic so we can improve the pages people actually use
  • Detecting abuse and automated traffic
  • Showing ads through our advertising partners

3. Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are used to:

  • Remember your language choice
  • Measure site traffic
  • Serve ads through Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may then behave differently.

4. Third-party advertising

Ads on this site are served by third-party providers, including Google AdSense. Those providers may set cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

Google uses the DART cookie for interest-based advertising. You can opt out of it on Google's ads policy page: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

5. Videos, links and page source

No video, photo or audio file is stored on our servers. A link you paste is used only to build the download result for that request. On the private Facebook video page, the page source you paste is scanned once for video links and then discarded. Converted files such as MP3s are deleted as soon as they have been sent to you.

6. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, trade or hand over personal information to anyone, with three exceptions:

  • Advertising partners such as Google AdSense, under their own policies
  • When the law or a competent authority requires it
  • To protect the rights, property or safety of the site and its users

7. Security

Reasonable safeguards protect the information above from unauthorised access, change, disclosure or loss. No transfer over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

8. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Your rights

You can:

  • Ask what information we hold about you
  • Ask us to delete data linked to you
  • Refuse cookies and personalised advertising

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new date, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
